South East Queensland region, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounding country areas have subtropical weather. Each of these areas has high humidity in the summer months

The humidity gives termites freedom to roam safely with much more mobility. The extra moisture in the soil enables the termites to safely explore new feeding grounds without having to build extensive mud tunnels above ground. When there is little or no moisture around they are restricted to creating their own micro climate inside mud tunnels adjoining the nest.
Without the tunnels their bodies would dehydrate and they would not survive.
Termites look for water and once found they can safely build a colony and look for favorite food sources.

The drainage around a home and water leaks of any kind are extremely important to control. Most drainage problems are only apparent when excessive rain occurs. Up until then the homes drainage can seem fine.

Water pooling under the house is the most serious drainage problem.

Timber Pest Inspections & Termite Inspections alert the owner of the home to any drainage and ventilation problems.

A Yearly Inspection is recommended by the Australian Standards. Any timber problems are detected by these annual inspections, Its all about protecting the timber in your home!.
